Who we are

Youman China is a procurement company based in Hangzhou and Yiwu, China. We help buyers in Nigeria buy from Chinese suppliers.

This policy covers our website and our Android app.

What we collect

We collect the things you give us, and very little else. We do not buy data about you from anybody.

• Your WhatsApp number and a password, if you make an account in the app. The number is how we reach you, and it is how you sign back in.
• What you tell us in a request: the product, the quantity, any notes and any photograph you attach.
• Your answers to the three questions the app asks when you first open it, if you answer them.
• The city you choose for collection, and any figures you save in the calculators.
• Anything you send us on WhatsApp, which we see the same way anybody in a chat sees a message.

What we do not collect

There is no advertising network in the app or on this site, and nothing here follows you around the internet.

• We do not collect your contacts, your location, your call history or your other apps.
• We do not run notifications from a server, so we do not hold a list of devices.
• We do not sell your information to anybody, for any purpose, ever.

What stays on your phone

Most of what the app remembers never leaves the device. Your saved rates, your calculations, your shipment plans and your collection city are stored on the phone itself.

Remove the app and they are gone. We have no copy.

Photographs

A photograph you attach to a request is kept, because a request whose picture we did not keep is a request we cannot work on. It is stored privately, and only you and our own staff can open it.

It is not sent to anybody else, and it is not sent to a model. Deleting your account removes every photograph you have sent us.

The assistant

When you ask the assistant a question, what you typed is sent to our server and on to OpenAI, which runs the model that answers.

We send your question and nothing about you. Your name, your number and your request history are never part of it.

We keep a count of how many questions each account has asked in a day, so the feature cannot be run up as a bill. That is a number, not a record of what you asked.

Who else sees it

Three companies hold data for us because they run the software this is built on. None of them is allowed to use it for their own purposes.

• Supabase stores your account, your requests and your photographs.
• OpenAI processes questions you send to the assistant.
• Netlify serves this website and the small server the app talks to.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, in the app. Open Profile, then Delete account. It happens immediately and we cannot undo it.

That removes your account, your password, every photograph you sent us, and your onboarding answers.

It does not remove the requests you sent, but it takes your name and number off them. We keep them because some of them are jobs we have already worked on, and a record with nothing pointing at a person is not personal information.

If you cannot get into the app, message us on WhatsApp and we will do it for you.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach a person about any of it.

The app needs an account, so we always hold your number. Everything past that is yours to withhold: you can skip the three onboarding questions, use the rates, the guides and the calculators without ever sending us a request, and never attach a photograph.

Children

This is a tool for people running a business. It is not meant for anybody under 18 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we change this page and move the date at the top. The date is the honest signal — we do not touch it for a typo.
